Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adults in Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offer medical detox as well as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retired military service members in our North Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is conveniently located across the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnight accommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, and computer center for all clients. We accept private insurance, state-funded plans and self-pay arrangements.

Job Summary:

Responsible for new resident orientation and supervision; coordinating resident activities in a manner that assures the safety and engagement of all residents and staff.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* In conjunction with the Program Director and Assistant Program Director:* Orients, trains and coaches new hires.* Supervises residential staff.

* Responds to resident issues as the same relate to housing, in consultation with the Program Director.* Works closely with clinicians and case managers in communicating resident behavior at Trails Corner.* Intervenes effectively with residents at risk of leaving the program against clinical advice; de-escalates upset residents.* Assures implementation of residents' daily schedule.* Assures compliance with program rules as well as facility policy and regulatory requirements, to include all staff on shift receiving breaks of correct duration in the appropriate time window.* Completes daily bed count and updates bedboard.* Tours and inspects each unit weekly to conduct audits and supervise staff.* Works shifts on units in absence of residential staff.

Qualifications

Certified Recovery Coach in the state of CT required. Prior supervisory experience required, ideally in a residential behavioral health setting. Valid driver's license required; Public Service endorsement preferred. Motor vehicle record must be acceptable to company as outlined by policy in order to drive company vehicles.
