Roles & Responsibilities:
The
CDL Class A Driver
is responsible for loading and transporting materials from the manufacturing plants to the job site in a safe and efficient manner.
Position Summary:
Essential Responsibilities:
Drive a truck rated over 26,001 lb.Operate a dump or flat bed with the possibility of an attached forklift.Ensures correct loading of products onto vehicle.Assists with loading, safely securing and delivering factory framed cartridges from Kent St. warehouse to jobsite.Deliver product to various delivery locations.Unloads product at job site when necessary.Determine condition of vehicle by inspecting vehicle before and after use.Responsible for completing daily driver logs.Responsible for maintaining an updated knowledge base of DOT regulations.Responsible for following all DOT regulations.Maintains a safe vehicle and conditions and protects load by complying with organization policies and procedures and highway rules and regulations.Responsible for reporting any vehicle damage and repairs.Responsible for meeting driver MVR requirementsOther duties as assigned.Essential Competencies:
Professional appearance and behavior.Positive attitude.Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to lift 75 pounds.Ability to work one duty for eight to ten hours.Requirements:
Must possess a Class A CDL driver license.Must meet company driving record requirements.Must provide current Motor Vehicle Record.Must pass all preemployment screenings and backgrounds.Must provide a valid medical certificate.Other Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Education/Credentials: High school diploma or its equivalent preferredForklift training1-2 years previous experienceKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proven ability to apply math, writing, and language skillsCompensation and Benefits information:
