Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or any other related field of study required
3+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience with financial reporting and filing of sales and used taxes
Advanced Experience in Excel
Experience with NetSuite a nice to have!
Job Description
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for preparing the day-to-day corporate accounting functions from general ledger and journal entries to financial statement analysis and reporting. The Sr. Accountant will play an important role on the Team supporting the company's growth by working closely with Finance, Restaurant Operations, Marketing, IT, Development, and Facilities to ensure accurate accounting, recording, and reporting of all revenue, expense, and balance sheet items.
Manage and support 3rd party delivery vendors transactions and reconciliations
Prepare and submit Sales and Use tax filings
Responsible for Lease Accounting and Fixed Assets
Key player in period end Close process – journal entries, accruals, etc.
Analyze accounts and financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the person’s attention
Prepare various analytics in comparison to Trends, Forecast and Budget
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Trouble-shoot issues related to restaurant-level financial schedules with Operations (General Manager, Director of Operations, and Chief Operations Officer)
Partner and work cross functionally with all departments within the Business
Provide support for internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Perform other essential duties and various special projects as needed
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, etc.
