General Position Overview
The Associate Scheduler is the key stakeholder responsible assisting the Master Scheduling Team, monitoring customer demand, key contact for communicating with Customer Service and purchasing to meet customer demand on time. The ideal candidate would be able to communicate customer demand and analyze a rough-cut production capacity plan. Strong communication skills across the entire organization.
Essential Job Functions
Demonstrate SoundOff Signal's core values in daily interactions with internal and external customers.
Communicate critical materials issues to Supply Chain Director and other appropriate functional leaders.
Communicate and address resource constraints.
Participate in projects that influence the direction of manufacturing.
Assists planning team to ensure material requirements are scheduled and fulfilled.
Liaison between Customer Service and Operations Teams
Some scheduling and planning of Final Jobs (Kit)
Back up coverage Master Scheduling Team
Production order management Job order releasing
Follow up on part shortages with Purchasing.
Manage the high priority sales order completion dates.
Schedule attainment reporting
Capacity reporting by product family / work center
Lead time communication to organization
Warranty Sales order job order release
Information Management Responsibilities:
Customer Demand Review/variance tracking.
Coordinates all necessary processes with production, quality, engineering, and finance.
Metrics:
Customer Delivery Performance.
Customer Delivery Rating Performance-System.
Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
On time delivery of schedules to production
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelors or equivalent degree in Business Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
1-3 years practical experience in Materials scheduling
Ability to navigate problems and solutions within the cross functional team.
Proficient computer skills-Windows Office Suite.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently, as well as work successfully across all levels of the organization.
MRP/EDI/ASN skills desired
Able to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to accurately communicate with co-workers and management, as well as external customers.
Working Conditions
Mostly office environment, occasional light manufacturing environment
Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting
Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required
Mostly normal business hours with occasional need to flex hours
