A-Line Staffing Solutions is hiring AN Inpatient Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care to patients of the Carl T. Hayden Veterans' Administration Medical Center
*Overnight Shift / 7 on, 7 off*
Responsibilities include:
Medication management
Review and process medication orders, ensure medications are safe and effective, and dispense them to patients.
Drug information
Provide information to patients, nurses, and other healthcare providers about medications, including side effects, interactions, and dosage.
Patient care
Participate in ward rounds to take patient drug histories, and work with patients who have problems taking their medication.
Pharmacy operations
Manage pharmacy technician staff, ensure medicines are stored appropriately, and supervise clinical trials.
Communication
Communicate with hospital and prescriber staff, and discuss treatments with patients' relatives, community pharmacists, and GPs.
Professional development
Seek ongoing professional development and keep up to date with research and development.Requirements
Previous Veterans’ Affairs experience highly preferred.Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)Inpatient Pharmacy experience of no less than 1 yearCompletion of a clinical pharmacy residency or PGY 1 accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or American College of Clinical Pharmacy.Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Island.
