Our mission as the RESC in western Connecticut is to promote the success of area school districts and their communities. EdAdvance is also a partner in the RESC Alliance and works collaboratively with the other RESC groups to support state-wide initiatives. In addition, EdAdvance operates five specialized school programs for students who are requiring educational placement outside of their district.To achieve our mission, we are committed to the

EdAdvance is a non-profit educational service agency that provides quality educational and training services to schools, communities, and individuals in Northwestern Connecticut. We are dedicated to improving the lives of special needs students and their families through transportation services.Job Overview: We are seeking responsible and reliable van drivers to transport special needs students to and from school. As a van driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students while providing exceptional customer service.
Working Conditions:20-25 hours per weekSummer hours requiredHourly rate $17.00
Major Responsibilities:
Safely transport special needs students to and from schoolObserve CT motor vehicle laws and regulationsMaintain accurate records of daily routes, student attendance, and vehicle maintenanceRegular and consistent attendanceOther duties as assignedMust be able to secure students in a seat belt or harnessMust be able to safely enter and disembark a van multiple times during the dayMust be able to move around the van to help students on an off the vanQualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or GEDValid CT license with V endorsement or CDL with a P & S endorsement. Willing to train for V endorsementMust be 21 years of ageHave an acceptable driving recordPass a criminal record background checkSkills and Abilities:
