Occupational Therapist-Sign-On/Full-Time

Rivers Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to perform the following duties.
Responsible for directing, modifying and administering the occupational
therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff occupational
therapist. Administers treatment and occupational agents as directed by
the staff occupational therapist, after the occupational therapist has
evaluated the patient. The OTA assists with the restoration of patient
functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical
disability. Assists patient to reach their maximum performance and
level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of
their capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS :
The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING :
A.A. degree from a school or college approved by the Americian
Occupational Therapy Association. Holds current certification as
Occupational Therapy Assistant. Holds a current BCLS (CPR) certification.
WORK EXPERIENCE :
Previous experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional
languages preferred. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer
knowledge. Knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy
interventions, anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of physical modalities
and machine operation and maintenance.
