POSITION STANDARDS

*

Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from an accredited college/university; Registered Dietitian or RDE; Previous clinical experience helpful but not necessary.

Age of Patients Treated: Independent Care, Out-patients: All Ages, usually adult/geriatric, M&S and Community/Occupational Health - usually adult

Master’s Degree from an accredited program in nutritional sciences (2024 and after)

Minimum 2 years’ related experience preferred.

-Current NH Dietitian license. - Current Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to verbalize clearly and hear normal speech.

PART TWO:FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

*

Position Objective

*

Evaluates, assesses, and plans nutrition care to meet patient nutritional needs.

*

Performance Expectation

*

Assesses patient nutritional status using documented medical information and established nutritional standards.

Counsels patients and/or families by identifying nutrition-related problems. Develops plans of instruction and nutritional care, and monitoring results.

Identifies inpatients at nutritional risk and documents recommendations.

Diagnose and develop intervention for patients with malnutrition

Participates in physicians' rounds, discharge planning rounds, and conferences with nutritional implications.

Conducts education programs for patients, community groups, and staff.

Precept and mentor new staff or existing staff in clinical specialty area.

Develop therapeutic relationships with multiple subspecialty care team members and providers that enables planning and participating across a broader spectrum patient care.

Cross-covers a broader spectrum of patient care areas and subspecialties as needed.

Performs other duties as required or assigned.

*We are offering a $5000 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is for full time, external hires only, and certain conditions apply.
