is searching for a Material Handler to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN on 3rd shift. This role will prepare and maintain the supply of raw material, packaging and component items for production.
Shift:
3rd Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm - 7:30amThe typical pay range for this role: $19.93-$29.89 per hourThis pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Apply to join our team today.What You'll Love about Teamvantage:A competitive compensation package with generous benefits covering health care, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and moreGenerous PTO offerings & 9 paid holidays annuallyContinued Education opportunities through our tuition reimbursement programGreat opportunities for growth & advancementA family centric environment that is focused on our valuesQualifications:Preferred High School diploma/GED or equivalent experienceValid identification and the ability to work legally in the United StatesMinimum 1 experience in plastic injection molding preferredKnowledge of proper use of forklift, pallet jacks, scales and other shipping equipment; working knowledge of inventory control systems including bar code systems, working knowledge of all types of materialsThe ability to multitask, run several projects at the same time without losing the ability to complete them on time; communicate with other departments in a professional and respectful manner; basic computer skills; strong problem solving skillsEssential Duties:Maintains accurate inventory levels and lot history trees by properly moving and electronically tracking materials per system requirements.Mixes, batches, and/or blends material for production while working closely with set-up techs and/or process engineers.Maintains material handling equipment and identifies equipment needing repairDesignates material for production runs; allocates required raw materials, based upon BOM, using IQMS/WMS.Returns material to stock after production is complete and assigns it a location in the warehouseReconciles material usage at the end of a work orderCommunicates with Purchasing and Scheduling any shortages or discrepanciesCycle counts raw materials and packaging suppliesMaintains and updates IQMS system for material per production run, transfers and back flushes the systemCan perform all material handling with little or no supervisionRecommends changes to improve productivity and/or qualityOther duties as assigned by supervisorPhysical & Mental Demands:Walking is required within the office/shop areas.Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements.Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance.Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment.Must have dexterity with hands.Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner; Ability to make decisions with limited information and supervision.The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Work Environment:This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing facility with normal lighting, and climate control.
