is searching for an Engineering Manager to support our manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Engineering Manager is responsible for guiding, leading, and developing engineers to resolve production and customer issues, while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. They also provide resources to support new product launch initiatives of the PMO. This role is responsible for effectively managing internal resources to achieve the company's sales growth and profitability targets. Additionally, this position serves as a member of the Velosity Senior Leadership Team (SLT).Reports to:

Manufacturing Engineer, Technical Sales, NPL Technician, Sr. Process Engineer- Thermoplastics, Thermoplastics Process Engineer, Setup up Technicians, Principal Process EngineersThe typical pay range for this role: $124,000 - $170,000This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Apply to join our team today.What You'll Love about MMD Medical:Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, short term and long-term disability, flex spending, 401k match, and MORE!Generous PTO offerings & 9 paid holidays annuallyClean, friendly, and air-conditioned work environmentGreat opportunities for growth & advancementQuarterly bonus opportunityA family centric environment that hires and develops talent based on our valuesCasual Dress CodeEssential Duties:Develop, evaluate, and improve engineering development methods.Confers with production management regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.Analyze and plan engineering work force utilization, space requirements, workflow and designs layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficient production methods.Enhance and/or develop company-wide policies and procedures.Estimates engineering staffing requirements and related costs providing information for management decisions.Ensure documented systems are in place and continually optimized to deliver consistent, high-quality products meeting the ever-evolving expectations of customers, regulatory, and the market.Establish and sustain customer peer relationships to better understand the engineering team's performance (favorable or unfavorable) and to stay abreast of customer needs, new programs/business and technology trends.Lead special projects and initiatives as required.Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:Bachelor of Science in Engineering.Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.Minimum 10 years of experience in an ISO 13485 medical manufacturing environment with progressive responsibilities and leadership experience.Subject matter expertise in precision machining.Prefer minimum of 4 years of experience in Medical Contract Manufacturing.Experience in multiple manufacturing environment areas including engineering, quality and precision machining.Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.Physical & Mental Demands:Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.Work Environment:This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.Protective Clothing Required:When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required.
