Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS)

JOB OVERVIEW:

The IBHS Clinical Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the overall clinical and administrative supervision of the IBHS designated team including Behavior Consultants, Mobile Therapists, BHTs/Registered Behavior Technicians, and Care Coordinator. This position reports to the Clinical Program Director of IBHS.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide clinical supervision to BCs, MTs, and BHT/RBT staff related to adherence to evidence-based practices, IBHS regulations, quality, and administrative policies and procedures such as paperwork submission, quality of paperwork, attendance of trainings, and supervision.Assign the BC, MT, and BHT/RBT staff to cases. Monitor that assignments are appropriate and when a problem arises, take corrective action, including reassignment as indicated.Conduct group and individual clinical supervision, both in office and in the field, on a regular basis in accordance with CBH performance standards and state IBHS regulations.Provide treatment in the community to children assigned to the team when there is a staff shortage.Review, track, and monitor submission of psychosocial assessments, treatment plans, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and progress monitor reviews to ensure compliance with the established procedures.Collaborate and address any concerns from parents, CBH, schools, and/or agency/administration.Track and monitor the status of cases to ensure that authorizations are current.Communicate consistently and effectively with BCs, MTs, and BHT/RBTs regarding the current status of authorizations, i.e.: hours, location, and time frame of authorization. Document accurately all communications with staff.Ensure that all cases are monitored to ensure the billable status of services.Convene team meetings to provide crisis intervention when situations arise.Assess and implement standardized assessment and supervision tools that are aligned with CBH performance standards.Develop and monitor staff training plans to ensure compliance with CBH performance standards. Lead BHT staff through RBT training requirements to get them certified as RBT within 6 months of hire.Ensure compliance with all PHMC’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality and acting as a mandated reporter in accordance with the law, policies, and procedures.Participate in and complete all CBH mandatory in-services. These trainings must be completed within three (3) months of hire and annually from the date of the initial training). Participate in at least ten (10) hours of documented Continuing Education Units (additional in-service) per year (“year” is defined as twelve months after the date of hire).Provide backup coverage and support for another clinical supervisor’s duties in the absence of the Clinical Supervisor assigned.Staff Leadership

Support team members to do the same.Demonstrate use and support of the trauma-informed model in all aspects of employment, including interactions with clients/students, family members, other employees, community members, and stakeholders.Respond promptly to the concerns and interests of the clients, parents, guardians, funding entities, and other PHMC staff.Participate in leadership development alongside other program leaders within the department of Community Mental Health.Partnerships and Collaborative Relationships

Establish and maintain relationships with provider organizations, regulatory and licensing representatives, and referral sources, establishing effective and productive working relationships while promoting PHMC.Represent the organization before various stakeholder groups to maintain visibility.Manage regulatory and accreditation contracts.Serve on, participate in, and attend various committee meetings.Contributing to the Team

Participate in regular meetings with staff to ensure priorities are clear, coordination is good, and communication is open. Develop additional methods for ongoing effective communication.Trauma-Informed Behavior

Ensure compliance with all PHMC’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality and acting as a mandated reporter in accordance with the law, policies, and procedures.Implement all documentation requirements. Ensure that reports are complete, thorough, timely, and written in the prescribed format. Ensure that staff members do the same.Complete other duties as assigned.SKILLS:

Licensure in Pennsylvania as a behavior specialist (LBS), clinical social worker (LCSW), professional counselor (LPC), marriage and family therapist (LMFT), or psychologistMaster’s degree in a clinical field such as clinical social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, etc. Degree must have a minimum of 12 credit hours in core behavioral health coursework.Minimum of 2 years of verified post-master’s experience providing mental health treatment including psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment working with children and/or adolescentsPrevious supervisory experience required

CLEARANCES:

Valid Childline, PA Criminal History, FBI, and Medical clearances, as well as any other clearances required by the agency or contractors
