is seeking a full-time
experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant
to join our respected neonatology practice at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, a U.S. News-ranked children's hospital and the largest NICU in Broward County.Joe DiMaggio NICU has 62 Level-IV NICU beds and 22 Level-II beds; average daily census of 70 and over 5,000 annual birthsSystem-wide the two sister NICUs have 36 Level-III beds and an additional 8,000 annual birthsRobust high-risk perinatal navigation programFull complement of pediatric subspecialistsCare of full range of complex neonatal diagnosesOn site ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, BPD programs, full range of ventilation modes including HFOV, HFJV, NAVAVariety of shifts including 10-12 hour day shifts and 12-16 hour night shiftsRotations to Memorial West and Memorial Miramar with 24 hour shiftsAbout Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital (Memorial Healthcare)Joe DiMaggio is part of the Memorial Healthcare System, the 4th largest public health system in the country and a quaternary trauma centerA 4-story vertical expansion was completed at Joe DiMaggio in 2023, as well as a women's and children's outpatient pavilion in the nearby Miramar facilityMemorial Healthcare received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its first class of pediatric residents in 2018The NICU is one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers (RPICC) in FloridaThe hospital offers free accommodations for families at its Conine Clubhouse on the hospital campus, while their babies receive expert careJoe DiMaggio Children's Hospital offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including heart transplant, kidney transplant, neurosurgery, hematology/oncology, and ECMOAbout the Hollywood/Ft Lauderdale areaAdjacent cities of Hollywood/Ft Lauderdale are a lively, diverse community with a combined population of approximately 300,000Nearly 32 miles of beautiful beaches make it a popular destination for tourists and residentsKnown as the "Venice of America" for its numerous canals and waterways, Fort Lauderdale is a top destination for boating enthusiastsHollywood features a brick paved Broadwalk that runs along the sand for over two miles with inviting cafes, boutiques and hotels, including the famous Margaritaville ResortA warm, tropical climate offers average temperatures ranging from the mid-70s during the winter and mid-80s in the summerSports fans will enjoy several professional and college sports, including the Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins, Miami Heat and Florida PanthersThe entire South Florida market offers a dynamic urban/suburban lifestyle with an abundance of cultural and recreational amenitiesQualifications
Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Minimum of a master's degree
Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU
