Description

Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled to skilled technical work in monitoring and maintaining lift station and treatment plant equipment and machinery. Is responsible for learning to maintain function and appearance of lift stations under the guidance of a Lift Station Operator. Reports to Utilities Maintenance Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED:

Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.

General knowledge of electrical maintenance and repairs.PREFERRED:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in sewer treatment plant lift station operation.Any combination of training and experience which provides the required skill, knowledge and abilities.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:REQUIRED:

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Driver's license must not have been suspended within five (5) years of the date of this application (Not Insurance related).Ability to obtain Class "C" license in wastewater collection systems from an approved vendor of the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation within 2 years of employment.Ability to obtain, within one (1) year of employment, a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake and tanker endorsements.PREFERRED:

Possession of a Class "C" license in wastewater collection systems from an approved vendor of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.Class "B" Commercial Driver's License ( CDL) issued by the State of Florida.Class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake and tanker endorsements.
