Description
Under general supervision, performs specialized professional work administering grants for and received by the Town. The employee is responsible for overseeing the administration of grant funds in support of various departments. Work involves researching and preparing grant applications, including federal and state appropriations requests and monitoring programs for effectiveness and compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines. Work also involves assisting in the preparation and administration of grant budgets and monitoring grant fund disbursement. The employee is required to utilize computer programs to maintain complex project and fiscal record and reports in monitoring awarded grants. Reports to the Intergovernmental Affairs Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSConducts research of available federal, state, and private foundation grants, and disseminates the availability to appropriate departments.Oversee grant administration in various departments; receives, reviews, prepares and submits grant application, reports, etc.Represents the Town at meetings with other government and private entities regarding information about grants.Assists departments with maintenance of grant files.Monitor and ensure compliance of grant expenditures.Assist with preparation for Federal and State audits and site visits.Prepares documents and makes recommendations to Administration and various department heads about grant programs.Provides technical assistance to departments in grant research, writing, and analysis.Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)

Schedule : 4 day work week - 10 hours per day (Monday-Thursday)Leave :
Holidays - 13 days per year.Sick Leave - 3.69 hours accrued per pay periodVacation Leave - Accrue 2 weeks per year, accrual rate increases every 5 years (capped at 4 weeks after 10 years of service).Birthday Leave - 1 day per year after successfully passing probationQuality Service - 1 day per year after successfully passing probation and other conditions.Wellness Days - 2 days per year after successfully passing probation.
