Are you an experienced purchasing professional with a knack for negotiation and a keen eye for detail? We are seeking a Permanent Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team in the fast-paced Engineering industry. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that we secure the best materials, services, and equipment at the most competitive prices. As the Purchasing Manager, you will be at the forefront of our strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier relationships, overseeing inventory control, and driving cost savings for the business.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process efficiencies.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities in terms of quality, price, and delivery times.Manage the entire procurement process, from preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs) to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.Oversee and manage the company's inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and ensure the timely procurement of necessary materials and services.Regularly review supplier performance and conduct price comparisons to ensure the company is receiving the best value for its investment.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements, using this information to inform procurement strategies and decisions.Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement and supply chain management.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the Engineering industry.Proven experience managing the entire procurement process, from preparing RFPs to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.Ability to analyze market trends and pricing data to inform procurement decisions.Proficiency in relevant procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.Professional certification in supply chain management or procurement (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) would be an advantage.
