These include planning and construction, facilities, public safety and emergency operations, environmental health and safety, transportation, housing, and auxiliary/retail operations.Posting SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Manager Security Systems for the Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O. Reporting to the Security Services Manager, this position provides management support management support for the Security Systems Shop. He/she schedules work and orders necessary materials to keep work flow moving.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Coordinates scheduling of work to include follow-up and quality assurance.Estimates material needs and orders materials and supplies as necessary.Provides feedback and reports to the Security Systems Manager.Meets with end users to discuss projects and project implementation when the Security Systems Manager is unavailable.Oversees the quantity and quality of work performed by subordinate personnel.Arranges and/or conducts training for shop staff as necessary.Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager or designee.

Minimum Education and Experience
High School or vocational school graduate.A minimum of two (2) years working/managing experience with access control equipment, CCTV, and intrusion alarms.
Certifications/LicensesRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must also have knowledge of keying systems and builder's hardware in an institutional setting.Must have basic computer knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc).Must have prior project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
PSP Certification preferred.A valid New Jersey Locksmith license or NJ Burglar Alarm License is desirable.

Incumbent will be required to pass a complete background investigation by the University Police Department..Clean Driving Record
