Deputy Director
General Description:
This position is responsible for the oversight and direct supervision of the residential program and the team of staff assigned to the programs. This includes oversight of all contractually obligated case management and employment services, program outcomes and staff development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ensuring that aftercare services are provided in accordance with contract requirements.Reviewing policies, procedures, and performance for program impact; and contract complianceEnsuring that all records are maintained accurately, completely and in compliance with contract.Maintaining effective working relationships with representatives of our contracting agencies and other community corrections personnelAttending all mandatory training programs and staff development sessionsProvide leadership through the supervision of department managers in terms of direction, input, feedback and role modeling.Planning and directing the delivery of services in accordance with company and contractual guidelines.Hiring, developing, and supervising personnel qualified to meet performance expectations.Maintaining acceptable attendance and meets all physical requirements.Understanding, enforcing, and monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures.Performing all other work-related duties as required by the Program Director
QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge of:
Federal, State and Local employment laws, Employment principle and acceptable work ethics; Contract Management; Employer incentives and benefits. Modern reentry principles and practices as they relate to a residential community reintegration program, Individual and group behavior as related to persons with criminal backgrounds.
Ability to:
Provide effective supervision and guidance to program staff;
Communicate effectively orally in writing with all levels of community and contracting agencies;
Plan, organize, and control resources to meet the needs of the program;
Meet and maintain contractual service requirements.
Flexible Work Schedule.
Academic and Work Experience:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in social or human services, criminal justice, or business along with two years of experience in a residential community reintegration program with one year in a supervisory or managerial position or an equivalent combination of work and academic experience.
