OverviewKelemen North and South 9 is a two-sided, seventy-six bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. Our staff care for a variety of patient populations, including cardiac, trauma, gastrointestinal, and psych. Also to support our staff are Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs) which help with patient care, through put, and assignments. Nurses who are staffed on Kelemen 9 are required to have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications, which will allow competent and safe care for our complex patient populations.
Short DescriptionThe Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day to day operations of the clinical unit.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible to:
Oversee assignments.
Assist in quality and throughput goals.
Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.
Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.
Supports quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.
Identify and support the elements of improved care quality care using HRO principles.
Experience Required
A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
Education Requirements
Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor’s in Nursing required, Masters preferred or in progress within 6-12 months of hire.
License/Certification Requirements
NJ-RN: Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse.
BLS & ACLS certification.
CNL or AACN Specialty certification preferred.
