OverviewKelemen 8 is a medical-surgical unit that cares for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, illnesses and disease processes. North and South 8 have telemetry capabilities for our patients. Kelemen 8 has frequent admissions and discharges.
Kelemen 8 can accept a total of 77 patients. The North side houses 37 patients, and the South side houses 36 patients. There are two negative pressure rooms with an anti-room.
There is a pharmacist present on the unit to assist the RNs with medication questions/concerns. Multidisciplinary rounds occur every Monday through Friday. Rounds involve all aspects of the healthcare team, including the patient and family.
Short DescriptionThe Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the day to day operations of the clinical unit.
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible to:
Oversee assignments.
Assist in quality and throughput goals.
Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, and compassionate manner.
Role model/mentor clinical staff to address patient needs effectively.
Supports quality patient care and organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director.
Identify and support the elements of improved care quality care using HRO principles.
Experience Required
A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities.
Education Requirements
Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ-RN License (Registered Nurse);
Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers);
Certain specialties may require advanced certification (i.e., ACLS, NALS, PALS)
