Primary Functions:

Installation of various vehicle interior/exterior parts according to specifications and using hand tools, power tools, and production fixtures.

Duties and Responsibilities:Installation of all nonelectrical interior/exterior components and hardware.Bolts, screws, clips, or otherwise fastens together parts to form subassemblies, such as doors, seats, instrument control panels, steering columns, and axle units.Seals joints and seams, using caulking gun.Fastens seats, door paneling, headliners, carpeting, molding, and other trim into position.Assembles fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations.Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications.The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and/or training as requested by your line manager.

Requirements

(education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools such as: to drills, screw gun.Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.Function with a minimal amount of supervision or no supervision.Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.Physical Demands:

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#'s without assistance.Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.Ability to work with arms above head.Ability to work from ladders or scaffolding.Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minus specified breaks.)Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous waste.Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.

Ability to bend, stoop, and squat.Occasionally lift up to but not exceed 40#'s.Ability to work with arms above head.Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.The noise level in the work environment is elevated.
