School Nurse (As-Needed/Part-Time)
General Description:
The Part-Time/As-Needed School Nurse is responsible for completing all health duties related to the school age student and completing all health duties related to identifying and serving students with disabilities, including but not limited to the following: contact tracing, providing direct services to disabled students, administering medication to students, providing consultation and assistance regarding specific student health needs, first aid and caring for ill students and staff, and emergency care for staff and students.
Qualifications:
Valid Ohio Department of Education School Nurse LicenseMust hold a current, valid and unrestricted Ohio license to practice as a Registered NurseMust hold an Associate or Baccalaureate DegreeGood knowledge of medical procedures, practices, and equipmentAbility to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingAbility to exercise tact, good judgment, and initiativeAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with othersAbility to understand and follow complex oral and written directions in a school environmentMaintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative guidelinesRequired to maintain confidentiality in working with recordsDemonstrate an attention to detail in assigned tasks, including contact tracing
Salary:
$36/hour (7 1/3 hour day)
