Summary
An Ocean Manager is responsible for overseeing the importation and exportation of goods by ocean, ensuring efficient and effective coordination and delivery of cargo. The Ocean Manager is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors/service providers. This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the importation of goods by ocean, including carrier selection, booking, and movement of goods through various transportation channelsManage and oversee the ocean export process, including preparation of shipping documents, customs clearance, and booking with shipping linesCoordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other service providers to ensure efficient movement and timely delivery of cargoEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsDevelop and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure the highest level of service and customer satisfactionCollaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service deliveryMonitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and qualityDevelop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service deliveryIdentify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfactionEducational background / Work experience

Fluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer Literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is preferred

$78,000.00 - 117,500.00
