Summary - basic function of the role
Enerpac Tool Group is looking for a Global Trade Compliance professional. This is a global role with emphasis supporting the Americas (Primary) and Asia Pacific regions. The person in this role will be responsible for global import/export compliance activities across several businesses and functions as part of the corporate Global Trade Compliance team.
Shift: Monday - Friday, hybrid 3 days in office schedule in Menomonee Falls for 2024. Relocating to Milwaukee, WI in early 2025
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as subject matter expert responsible to facilitate and consult on trade matters to aid in the development and administration of international trade.Oversight and management of daily Customs business activitiesSupport sanctions and embargos programs and restricted/denied party screening resolutionEngage with, manage, and audit Customs brokers and other import/export service providers. Work with service providers to establish data collection/management relating to import/export activities.Manage change through project leadership to implement Global Trade Compliance initiatives across business functions.Determine export control jurisdictions and product classifications. Establish and maintain export compliance controls at business units.Apply for and maintain issued export licensesEnsure maintaining all required records per local import/export lawsDetermine country of origin of manufactured goods. Ensure that country of origin is properly marked at manufacturing locations within region. Maintain country of origin within Oracle.Establish and manage regional free trade agreements including obtaining supplier solicitations to support FTA and other trade compliance related certifications.Manage the U.S. duty drawback program.Monitor import/export compliance activities and international trade data elements in business system(s)Support Customs valuation prioritiesDeliver trade compliance training to internal customersIdentifies areas of improvement and efficacy in current trade compliance programContinually increase knowledge with local and regional trade compliance regulations and report changes that may impact trade compliance programCommunicate Corporate Trade Compliance Internal Control Plan and Procedures to site trade advocates.Provide red flag and diversion risk advice to business unitsSupport audits conducted internally and by governmental agenciesAssign and maintain HS and ECCN codes for imported/exported goods in Oracle GTM platform.Skills and Competencies
Strong international trade compliance knowledgeWell-versed in product classifications: with direct experience in multiple chapters of the harmonized system of tariff classifications and export control (dual-use and defense) classificationsExport controls knowledge and direct experience obtaining and managing (U.S.) export licensesDirect experience and knowledge of sanctions, embargoes, denied party, and restricted party actionsData management skills and ability to write queries to build reports and automation - preferredDetail orientedStrong-independent contributorExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFunctional "IT" knowledge in using and maintaining Oracle's Global Trade Management System - preferredKnowledgeable in international trade law, regulations, and applicable governmental agenciesEducation and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.3-5 years experience minimum.
