We are looking to add a dynamic, progressive Account Manager to our Bond team.Alera offers an outstanding compensation package and a complete benefit package, highlighted by medical and life insurance, short and long-term disability, wellness programs, section 125 benefits, 401(K) retirement plan and credit for vacation time.Responsibilities:Client Service:Handle client service request and all activities involved with Bond productsBe proactive and anticipate the needs of the client and the Risk Management Advisor while providing exceptional and distinctive serviceParticipate in special assignments as requested by managementTravel and participate in client meetings as neededHelp develop and train other team members as neededPerform audits to review for quality of Bond Department processes and work standards
Technical :Ability to read financial statementsUnderstanding of construction bid requirements and specificationsMaintain current knowledge & demonstrate efficient use of our client management systems resulting in compliance with minimum service level standardsTimely management of correspondence as required by department, including email and client document management systemSeize opportunities to further personal and professional developmentSupport team by building strong relationships and sharing knowledge and useful techniquesMarketing & Negotiating:Build and maintain relationships with surety underwriters by creating a professional and complete submissionMaintain knowledge of markets and carrier appetitesExhibit skills necessary to negotiate desirable outcomes by anticipating carrier perspectivePersonal Attributes:Strong verbal and written skills including the ability to present and express surety concepts to non-industry personnel in laymans termsAbility to shift focus and manage time in order to prioritize work load and to meet time sensitive deadlinesLead by exampleQualifications:
Bachelors degree preferred2-5 years experience in customer service fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWell versed in Microsoft Office productsExperience managing multiple data management systems
