The Global VP of Operations is responsible for managing, the operations, quality, supply chain,safety, process & project excellence across the entire enterprise. A Global Leader who will be atrusted advisor to the CEO and the Global Leadership Team (GLT), leading operational strategiesand programs jointly with our regions to deliver expected operational results. As a GLT member,Global VP of Operations will focus on organizational effectiveness enabling a high-performance,culture of inclusion globally.
Responsibilities & Duties• Responsible to assure capacity & resources are in place ahead of demand• Long-range demand planning, connecting w/ resource and equipment capacity• Harmonization of best practice, managing our Right First Time (RFT) process, qualitysystems support• Responsible for the leadership and implementation of continuous improvement and RFTprograms across all company sites• Partnering with our Regions Operations and Supply Chain on contract decision related tostrategic suppliers - global contract where applicable• Provide organizational direction for the full talent cycle - Talent Acquisition,Performance Management, Learning, Development, and Succession within ourOperations and Supply Chain function• Establishes meaningful KPI's to evaluate plant capacity & productivity• Can connect operations metrics to the Company Scorecard• Business partner with the commercial team through cross functional programs such asS&OP• Oversee Capital Expenditure Planning• Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as safe and strongmanufacturing practices• Provide support for global safety, quality control, quality assurance, marketing, andproduction planning, cost accounting, and information technology departments• Establish and maintain relevant operational and safety metrics to maintain continuousimprovement process• Leads by example adhering to the Company Operating Principles• Global Leadership Team (GLT) member.
Requirements• Bachelor's degree, in a Scientific or Engineering field required. Advanced degreepreferred• Minimum of 15 years manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 10 years in amanagement and demonstrated progressive experience• Lean & Six Sigma experience preferred• Knowledge of the specialty chemical industries, markets and modern safety programs• Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills and demonstrated leadershipqualities• Experience working with a senior leadership team and presenting at the executive level• Experience and comfort in a highly collaborative, team-based, environment• Strong Business Acumen - Experience with strategic business plans and financialstatements• Strong team-builder and developer• Excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Officeproducts and experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus• Experience in complex, globally integrated organization preferred
