We are seeking a part-time shuttle driver for work in Smithfield, RI.
Shuttle routes run 7am-10am, Monday thru Friday in the Smithfield, RI area
PT positions available driving shuttles at local University.
$18.00 per hour base pay / OT available for FT drivers / Gratuities available for charter drivers
The vehicle is a walk-on 14-passenger shuttle that is cleaned and maintained regularly.
Shuttle drivers with a Chauffer license earn a base rate of $18/hour. CDL drivers start at $22/hour.
The shuttle provides rides for college students to the local area shopping centers.
Must be over 20, customer service experience is a must!
A valid RI Chauffer license or CDL with passenger endorsement is required.
A valid medical card is also required. Background checks and driving test will be conducted.
Shuttle Driver- Job Description
The job responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver may vary depending on the location where the employee is scheduled to work. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we canSafely shuttling customers to various destinationsOpening and closing doors for patronsAdhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttlesCommunicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendantsCompleting required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirementsRecording passenger counts and trip timesCompleting necessary paperwork involved in daily operationsAssisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanlinessCommunicating mechanical problems with shuttles to managementComplying with company procedures for shuttle operations
