Overview
The Director Enterprise Architecture will collaborate with IT and Business Leaders to develop and sustain Hershey's business architecture, and with our solutions and security architects to develop and maintain an adaptable, modern, and sustainable IT architecture enabling Hershey's business vision and strategy. This role is responsible for the build-out and sustainment of Hershey's Enterprise Architecture capability. They will setup and lead the EA Governance Model to foster adherence with Enterprise Architecture standards and processes. The Director EA will develop, maintain, and enforce in close collaboration with our security and solution architects, Hershey's architectural standards, models and artifacts.
Accountabilities
Develop, implement, and maintain Hershey's Enterprise Architecture capability in close collaboration with the IS Leadership:
Develop, implement, and facilitate the EA governance model
Develop & maintain Hershey's Enterprise Architecture in close collaboration with respective Hershey business and IS stakeholders to drive the desired business outcomes
Develop & maintain the enterprise architecture (business, application, data, security, infrastructure)
Provide the architectural leadership on key initiatives as well as in the resolution of inter-program or inter-project issues
Support the development of the solution, security, and data architecture for key IT projects
Establish and lead a community of practice for our solution, security, and data architects across IS and the Business with the goal to improve the collaboration across the community, provide development opportunities for our solution architects, and create a community "voice" with regard to architecture & technology innovation
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Broad understanding of the CPG business processes (e.g supply chain, procurement, commercial, eCommerce, planning, management reporting and analytics)
Experience in building enterprise applications using modern architecture techniques such as microservices, event-based architecture, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), S/4 Hana, SCP, Java, Mulesoft, and Web Technologies
Experience with incorporating emerging technologies into enterprise architecture or technology roadmaps
Experience with emerging technologies like ML, AI, Robotics, and IoT
Experience in developing architecture artifacts such as conceptual, business and solution architecture
Experience in modern software development methodologies (e.g. SaFE, Agile, Hybrid, Scrum, Design Thinking) and how solution/enterprise architecture is integrated
Experience & Education
Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Engineering, or other related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus. TOGAF certification is a plus. EACOE (EA Center of Excellence) certifications a plus.
Experience:
10+ years in top tier consulting firm or top tier software company of which 3-5 years in solution and domain architecture plus 3+ years as an enterprise or domain architect
5+ years in solution architecture, ideally in the CPG industry
5+ years CPG experience
3+ years in leading a group of solution or enterprise architects
Extensive SAP experience - ideally S/4 and as a domain or solution architect
