You will work closely with the firm's leadership to provide strategic financial insights and support the firms long-term growth objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management:
Direct and manage all aspects of the firms financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the firms leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the firms goals and objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the firms leadership, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results. Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and operational efficiency.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP and other applicable laws. Identify and manage financial risks to safeguard the firms assets and reputation.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement. Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across the firm.
Required QualificationsProfessional Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment. Proven track record of success in a Controller or similar role.
Educational Credentials:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems.
Leadership Skills:
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a finance team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
