supporting the
Advanced Materials
Division located in
The Woodlands, Texas . This position will report to the
Commercial Director, Americas .Job ScopeThe Sales Manager will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of Huntsman's Advanced Materials, Aerospace & Defense division in the Americas. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, managing a high-performing sales team, and developing strategic relationships with key clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, strong industry knowledge, and a passion for achieving targets.In summary, as the Sales Manager - Aerospace & Defense, you will:Develop
and
implement
strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve revenue and market share targets for the Aerospace & Defense, Americas region.Identify
new business opportunities and drive the expansion of Huntsman's advanced materials solutions.Lead ,
mentor , and
motivate
a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.Provide
ongoing training and support to enhance the team's skills and performance.Build
and
maintain
strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.Control
and own the monthly forecast for their segment of responsibility.Develop
and
execute
strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.Analyze
market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and tactics.Provide
insights and recommendations to senior management for business development.Prepare
and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics.Monitor
sales performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize results.Work
closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.Coordinate
with global sales teams to leverage best practices and share market intelligence.Lead
high-level negotiations and manage complex sales cycles.Oversee
contract development and ensure favorable terms for both the company and clients.QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United
States.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a sales management role within the specialty chemicals or advanced materials industry.Skills & KnowledgeProven success in developing and executing sales strategies and managing a sales team.Strong understanding of the Aerospace & Defense markets, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze data, forecast sales, and drive performance improvements.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Travel RequirementsWillingness to travel as required to meet with clients and support regional sales activities up to 50%Preferred QualificationsAdvanced degree or MBA is highly preferred.Huntsman is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
