Overview:The Insurance Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing documentation requirements of new and existing patients insurance benefits verification to ensure accurate treatment estimates. Our team members are all crossed trained to every position the front team is responsible for, front desk, answering phones and making appointments, check in and out, patient and referring office relations, etc.Responsibilities:Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Check with insurance providers and verify patients' coverage and benefitsPrioritizes and processes incoming Insurance Verifications, Referrals, and Prior Authorization requestsVerifies member/patient eligibilityEnsures insurance carrier documentation requirements are metUnderstands and can explain dental insurance plan benefits.Effectively communicate with others, including referring doctor offices, insurance companies, patients, and others about insurance benefits and costs associated to procedures.Handles multiple assignments or pieces of work at one time. The capability of working within a stressful environment under consistent deadlines, pressures and interruptions.Answering phones and scheduling patientsChecking in patients, going over their health history, getting consent forms signed, handling x-rays and referral slips, etc.Checking out patients, collection money, processing accurate insurance forms, etc.Keeping up on all office duties

EDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalent
