Our client, a premier window and door manufacturer, is seeking an exceptional Operations/Plant Manager to spearhead their production operations and drive their team to new heights.
Job Summary : The Manufacturing Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant, encompassing warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and overall operations. This role is responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are meticulously followed. The ideal candidate will develop and implement processes to maximize stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity. This position is crucial for driving continuous improvement and optimizing all aspects of plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:Production Management:
Oversee the entire production process, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations.Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands.Monitor production output and adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.Ensure that the plant is operating within the set budget.Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of quality for all products manufactured.Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Address and resolve any quality issues promptly and effectively.Safety and Compliance:
Ensure the plant operates in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.Develop and implement safety programs and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.Conduct regular safety audits and take corrective actions as needed.Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of supervisors, technicians, and production workers.Recruit, train, and develop staff to enhance their performance and job satisfaction.Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration.Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency.Develop lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.Develop to monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and take action to improve plant performance.Resource Management:
Manage the plant's budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.Ensure effective utilization of resources, including machinery and manpower.Oversee maintenance and repair of plant equipment to minimize downtime.Strategic Planning:
Work with senior management to develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the plant.Align plant operations with company goals and objectives.Participate in corporate planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
Background in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Process Control, Warehouse Operations or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the window, door or woodworking industry.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.Proven track record of successfully managing production schedules and improving operational efficiency.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
