OverviewWe are looking for a Corporate Communications Specialist to help the NGA Human Development (HD) Directorate. You will work with one of the five HD offices to provide communication support. You will help share important information and updates with others in the HD offices.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and post newsletters and articles to NGA Today to keep employees informed about important news and updates.Set up town halls and seminars, including creating slides and Q&A documents to facilitate discussions and information sharing.Reserve conference rooms and classrooms for meetings and training sessions, ensuring proper space is available for events.Manage external invitations for Director and Deputy Director to ensure effective communication with stakeholders.Write and edit different types of communication materials, such as articles, briefings, and presentations to help others understand important topics.Work with team members to create visual materials that make information easy to understand and visually appealing.Find new ways to reach different audiences with our messages and explore different methods and tools to communicate effectively.Required Experience:
Experience creating communication strategies.Experience with writing speeches and providing communication support.Experience updating web content and using electronic publishing tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop Illustrator, or Adobe Pro.Good writing and editing skills, especially using AP style.Desired Experience:
Knowledge of issues the NGA and the Department of Defense face.Understanding of the NGA's work and technology.
