ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Knot is looking for a Lifestyle Editor to join a dynamic Editorial team. Reporting to the Sr. Lifestyle Editor, this position will be responsible for writing content on our lifestyle vertical across the following categories: Relationships and Sex, Travel, Home, and Engagement. The Lifestyle Editor will collaborate with content strategists, editors, and creatives to depict key storytelling opportunities with a user-first mindset. This position thoughtfully approaches all aspects of packaging by bringing themes and concepts to life to move our brand and business forward. RESPONSIBILITIES:Writes about overall lifestyle content relating to the wedding journey, from travel to relationships and everything in betweenCollaborates across teams to align on content and affiliate strategy and creative ideation in order to achieve KPIs.Pitches, writes and produces longer lead pieces, content packages and campaigns that ladder up to key business objectives.Interview experts and contributors to feature in and inform contentFollows brand's tone of voice, editorial style guide and best practicesStays up to date on industry trendsSUCCESSFUL LIFESTYLE EDITORCANDIDATES HAVE:
At least 5 years of digital editorial experience focused on lifestyle contentSuperb writing skills, including experience writing for sensitive and high-touch topics; the ability to quickly adopt the style and voice of a brandSolid reporting background and with a list of sources, or the ability to relationship-build, across various categories.Experience creating affiliate content and knowledge of SEO best practicesA true team player who can easily work cross-functionally with little oversightExceptional communication and problem-solving skills.A thorough approach driven by personal accountability and serious attention to detailA passion for keeping your finger on the pulse, as it relates to the lifestyle and/or wedding content.About Us
