Job Summary:The Senior Manager of Operational Excellence and Six Sigma is responsible for leading the continuous improvement and operational excellence efforts within the organization. This role will provide expertise in deploying Lean and Six Sigma programs and initiatives, will be responsible for identifying and managing improvements, reducing waste, improving quality, and streamlining workflows using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operations management, process improvement, and leading cross-functional teams.Job Responsibilities:Kaizen: Create a culture of continuous improvement through kaizen. Drive stepwise improvements in safety, quality, cost and on time delivery through kaizen events while harnessing the power of daily Kaizen / Gemba walk.Manufacturing Processes: Ensure all production cells within the business are implementing the appropriate lean methodologies, e.g., 6S VSM, an effective FOD Program, development standard work, pull systems, cellular manufacturing, 3P etc. to maximize productivity, capacity and throughput while minimizing lead time and WIP.Transactional Processes: Ensure all departments within the business are implementing the appropriate lean tools, e.g., VSM, Transactional Process Improvement, variance reduction, etc. to maximize productivity and minimize lead time in the throughout the business.Vision/Strategy: Ensure the definition and development of the operational strategy for Embedded business is understood and ownership is recognized by all.Problem Solving: Instill a culture of problem solving throughout the business. Ensure that all individuals of the business learn and utilizes the proper problem-solving methodology following the PDCA cycle.Culture: Ensure all cells within the business has a roadmap to accelerate the transformation of the operations utilizing standardized metrics, and practices.Best in Class Team culture: Establish and grow a culture of Operational Excellence within the Embedded business. Become the change agent for the business by ensuring the factory acts different each day as we go through this transition.

Required Experience and Skills:10+ years of Lean deployment in a manufacturing setting is required including 5+ years in a Lean leadership role.Experience transforming manufacturing sites through implementation lean methodologies while achieving targeted P&L savings.Experience in the development and/or refinement of a company's Op Ex culture and operating system.Earned reputation for having successfully implemented lean management while spearheading the change management process.BS in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Business OR equivalent experience.Demonstrated success influencing cultural change.

Preferred Experience and Skills:Previous experience in aerospace and defense environment is preferred.A Black Belt Certification is preferred.
