The Role

Aquarian Holdings is seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant to join its Finance and Accounting team. The Senior Accountant will report to the Chief Accounting Officer.

This 5 day a week in-office position is located in New York City.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate the monthly closes through preparation of account reconciliations, journal entries and flux analysisAssist with monthly, quarterly and annual investor and regulatory reporting requirements. Including financial statements, management reporting packages and contract invoicingMaintain records and schedules for specific general ledger accounts including but not limited to cash, accrued expenses, debt financing and accounts payableResearch accounting guidance to assist in accounting memo writing on complex positionsHandle routine information requests from management, tax advisors and auditorsAssist third party consultants on the implementation of accounting process improvementsManage the accounts payable process including invoice coding, complex expense allocations and liquidity needsIdeal profile and characteristics:

Exhibit a strong understanding of US GAAPAbility to work in a fast-paced environment while utilizing effective time managementExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively on projects and daily tasksStrong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and eligible to sit for the CPACertified Public Accountant, strongly preferred3-5 years of experience in public accounting firm or asset management experienceWorking knowledge of GAAPAdvanced skills in MS ExcelKnowledge of Netsuite, a plus
