Position Details

Full or part-time, non-exempt positionLocated in San Diego CountySchool-based, in-person servicesOperates consistent with district calendarResponsibilities

Provide individual and group therapy to youth ages 11-18+Collaborate with school-based staff for student supportLead school-based mental health workshopsFacilitate restorative programs and coordinate follow-up support as neededFacilitate student leadership group and related program tasksEngage with parents and guardians regarding client safety, treatment goals, and clinical interventionsProvide leadership, intervention and support when crisis counseling is appropriateProvide care coordination for individual clients and their familiesComplete appropriate documentation, including regular progress notes, bio-psycho-social assessments, and treatment plansCollaborate with colleagues and school partners to identify and address existing community needs and barriers to serviceCultivate and sustain relationships with school partnersQualifications

Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical CounselingActive or pending registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an ASW, AMFT, or APCC, as appropriate by disciplineExperience providing individual and group therapy, preferably with youth and familiesA commitment to prioritizing increased access to mental health services tailored to the needs of youth and familiesEffective communicator, particularly with students, families and colleaguesStrong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within school environmentsAn ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentThe capacity to remain calm, focused and professional when faced with unexpected challengesStrong organizational and documentation skillsWilling to commit to the full school year to ensure continuity of services for studentsDemonstrated ability to be culturally responsive and respect diversityPreferred Qualifications
