Fred Finch School Based Services are a full-service therapy program designed to help youth in elementary through high school to learn to succeed in school, improve their grades, attendance and interpersonal relationships with their peers and families.
Fred Finch Youth & Family Services staff work closely with teachers, school staff, caregivers, parents, and participants to improve participants' functioning at school and home. Each student is evaluated independently, and a customized action plan is developed for addressing each of the known barriers to success. Youth enrolled at the schools below in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties who have full-scope Medi-Cal are eligible for services.

What You Will Do
Under administrative and clinical supervision (Mental Health Therapist I) or consultation and direction (Mental Health Therapist II), provides behavioral health clinical intervention and recovery services to assigned participants and their families; develops treatment plans and performs individual, group, and family therapy , routine and emergency assessment, crisis intervention, and related treatment services; manages an assigned caseload of children, youth and/or young adult participants; provides consultation to other staff, programs, and agencies related to treatment needs and plans; and performs related duties as assigned.
Shifts AvailableFull Time - afternoon and evenings required. Work remotely with clinical services provided in the community, office and telehealth settings.
Salary RangeIn accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $33.03 and $42.15 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):
Education:
Mental Health Therapist I-II: Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field; and
Experience:
Mental Health Therapist I: One (1) year of internship experience providing mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
Mental Health Therapist II: Two (2) years of post-master's experience providing professional mental health services in a behavioral health, clinic, residential, school-based, or community-based setting for children, youth, or young adults.
Licenses and Certifications:Possession of a valid California Driver's License, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle, to be maintained throughout employment.Mental Health Therapist I: Possession of a valid registration as an Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment. Some programs may consider candidates who are able to obtain registered status within the first six (6) months after hire.Mental Health Therapist II: Possession of valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), to be maintained throughout employment.
