We support FAS and Chancellor departments by providing responsive and efficient professional services to carry out their unique missions and goals. The FSC has a team of approximately 40 professional staff. We act as effective stewards of over $480M in UCSF operating and $200M capital funds annually. Our services include strategic financial planning and decision support, financial analysis, accounting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls analysis, high volume transaction services, Control Point Analysis, data extraction, report writing, and software application development and information system infrastructure for our clients. Through our service-orientation, the FSC contributes to our UCSF mission in advancing health worldwide.
Under the direction the FSC Transactions Supervisor, the Financial Services Analyst III position involves extensive financial analysis, cost management, and strategic planning to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations. In support of senior management, the Analyst III will leverage advanced analytical techniques to provide in-depth evaluations of financial data, contribute to budget development, and support financial forecasting and reporting.
The Financial Analyst III provides the lead role in assuring that all revenue, A/R, recharge billing, and balance sheet transactions are performed in accordance with UCSF Policies and Procedures. In addition, the Analyst III assures that all cashiers in client departments are aware of and in conformance with all applicable UCSF policies and procedures. The Analyst III also serves as the lead for Revenue CashOut processes, coordinating and approving the work of cashiers who perform cash out in-house processes (which involve balancing their cash drawers at the end of their shift). The Financial Services Analyst III assures that client Business Unit staff are properly trained in all Revenue processes. The Analyst assures appropriate utilization of tools for cash-out and journalizing.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
