Cordia resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing month-end reconciliations, supporting audits, and performing variance analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage Intacct and a strong background in accounting, preferably within a non-profit environment.
Key Responsibilities:Month-End Reconciliations: Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end closing activities, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions and procedures.Variance Analysis: Perform detailed analysis of budget vs. actual variances, investigate discrepancies, and provide insightful explanations and recommendations.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and other reports as required.Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, organizational policies, and relevant regulations.Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather information and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
