TexasMed's Pro Sports Rehab services can helps patients get back on their feet after a sports or work-related injury. We provide high-quality and personalized physical therapy treatment through each step of the patient's healing process.
The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates, examines, and utilizes exercises, rehabilitative procedures, soft tissue massage, mobilization, manipulations, and physical agents including, but not limited to mechanical devices, heat, cold, air, light, water, electricity, and sound in the diagnosis or treatment of patients.
The PT has the responsibility of providing quality care in compliance with guidelines from the American Physical Therapy Association and the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Duties:Evaluation of the patient and determination of appropriate therapiesProgression of the treatment as the patient's condition permitsDocumentation of care providedSupervision of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) and Physical Therapy Receptionist/Aide (PTR-A)Participation in the quality assurance programModalities include but are not limited to the use of: therapeutic exercises, kinetic activities, gait training, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), traction, application of topical medication to open wounds, sharp debridement, provision of soft goods, inhibitive casting and splinting, phonophoresis, iontophoresis, and biofeedback systems.Flexible Schedule - Three days a week
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:• Graduate of a physical therapy program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association• Licensed to practice in the State of Texas• Two years of experience preferred but new graduates considered• Must maintain current First Aid/CPR certification
BACKGROUND REQUIRMENTS:
A personal vehicle, valid state driver's license, vehicle insurance and a good driving record are required. Position requires travel and is authorized for mileage reimbursement.
