They support key business developmentactivities such as content creation, proposal and reporting development, newsletter publication,and organizational needs to maximize our fundraising initiatives and contract processing.Experience with marketing and donor/funding cultivation is recommended; however strongwriting/research skills and an openness to learn are highly required. The Development Internserves the IRC's offices in New York (Manhattan) and Elizabeth, New Jersey, and reports to theDevelopment Director and or the Development CoordinatorRESPONSIBILITIES:* Support pre-award grant phase by assisting with sourcing language and data forproposal, attend meetings to learn about program design, where applicable* Support on specialized business development activities* Update one-pagers for the office* Connect with program managers and leads, as needed* Support with newsletter publication by working closely on the back-end portal* Support post-award phase by writing specialized thank you cards and supporting onreports* Develop assets for events, campaigns, and donor communications* Perform an audit on folders and templates ensuring a smooth back-end of DevelopmentRecordsLEARNING OBJECTIVES:1. You will gain key project management experienceREQUIREMENTS:* Undergradute degree. Or in process of obtaining Undergraduate/master's degree or atleast 1 year of marketing/research experience* At least 1 year of previous experience demonstrating high level writing/research skills* Strong communication and time management skillsPosition Description TemplateMinimum Qualifications: Basic understanding of marketing and writing frameworks* Solid organization skills* Demonstrate ability to work independently, be resourceful, and communicate wheresupport is needed.* Demonstrate flexibility to interface with several projects at once especially in a high pacedenvironmentThis position reports to Claire King, Development Director NYN
