Contracts

Bring your experience and ideas and be responsible for managing a team of contract professionals across various levels, assigning tasks, and providing guidance on issues that fall outside of operational norms. You will help determine and pursue courses of action and administration of policies and processes in accordance with customer expectations and corporate objectives. This role will be on-site in Fort Worth, TX but will be supporting our Bell Europe team.

What You’ll be Doing as a Manager, Contracts

Oversee responses to complex Requests for Information (RFIs)/RFPs/Requests for Quotations (RFQs) from internal and external customers, direct the preparation of complex ERs, Statements of Work (SOWs), aircraft specifications, and program schedules, as well as respond to customer and other agency audits, reports, and investigations.

Manage the preparation of complex proposals with appropriate terms and conditions to mitigate risk while ensuring the resulting contract is executable for the business as well as coordinate the preparation of necessary internal documentation for appropriate Gate Review levels and obtain management approval for the proposal and subsequent submission to the customer.

Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiation of complex proposal with customers ensuring their requirements are satisfied while meeting Bell business and financial objectives.

Primary point of contact for the composition, review, and interpretation of contract documents, requirements, and agreements.

Oversee the execution of contracts, agreements, and certifications within the authorized delegation on behalf of Bell, lead and/or manage complex special assignments and projects within Contracts, coordinate with and influence Bell personnel across multiple functions, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and Centers of Excellence (COEs), as well as provides input, adapt, and improve business processes/practices to meet company goals and satisfy customer needs.

Coordinate and provide guidance for contracts from time of signature to closeout which may include: directing the issuance of internal documentation to appropriate functional depts of contract award, coordinating requirements and other obligations during performance, providing appropriate internal and external contract notifications, as required; identifying and resolving changes and other complex contractual problems/issues by applying expert knowledge of contract clauses, and policies and procedures, monitor funding and expenditures, facilitation of invoicing, coordinating all import/export licenses and authorizations, documenting delivery to the customer.

Ensure maintenance and utilization of Bell information management systems for reports, metrics, correspondence, presentations, and related contract files.

Maintain and foster close business relationships with external customers and act as the primary liaison for contractual matters as well as support Trade Shows as necessary.

Perform management activities including recruitment, selection/hiring, performance assessments, employee recognition/discipline, establish annual goals/objectives, manage career files and development plans, and train, guide, and mentor your employees, as well as direct activities required to manage multiple concurrent proposals and contracts by managing, guiding, and directing Contracts personnel with their assigned tasks and programs.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring to this Role

Proficiency working with international procurement laws/regulations preferred.

Prefer expert knowledge of UCC, international acquisition regulations and processes, commercial agreements, EAR and ITAR, Dept of State and Dept of Commerce regulations, and FPCA.

Direct aerospace commercial contracting experience including proposal development, contract formation, international commercial contract negotiations and post-award contract administration is preferred.

Working knowledge of Salesforce and Apptus is preferred.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

What You Will Need to Be Successful

10 years combined experience in Contracts, Finance, Pricing, Legal, Business Mgmt., Program Mgmt., or Procurement.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; MBA Preferred.

Must have the ability to work effectively and professionally with customers and representatives from other departments and be able to organize, plan, and prioritize a variety of tasks and assignments.

Proficiency with full suite of Microsoft Office applications.
