We are looking for an upbeat and forward thinking Material Handler to join our injection molding team at our new state-of-the-art facility in Pineville, NC! The successful candidate will be responsible for changing molds, tooling, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs in and out of the molding machines for the purposes of fittings production. These activities are to be conducted while ensuring and improving safety, product quality, production output, housekeeping and cost control to achieve plant goals.
Job Summary:
To implement standard material handling, finished and unfinished raw materials within the injection molding department that will include but not be limited to, standard housekeeping duties, 5S projects and serve as a back-up operator as needed by Supervision.
Experience operating a Forklift and a Floor Sweeper. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse while changing materials as well as clean out press hoppers according to assigned job orders. Ensure no material is left on or around the press when changeovers are completed. Remove finished product from the production area. Verify wrapping, labeling, weighing, scanning, recording, and staging product in the lineup or in a designated waiting area. Accurately identify, count, and label all WIP before recording and staging in lineup. Monitor and empty dust collection bags when they get to full line, when necessary. Maintain accurate inventory of corrugated and notify supervisor of any issues. Ensure pallet accessibility for operators at all time and unload truck when necessary. Responsible for general housekeeping duties and 5S (Safety) projects within the department and warehouse. Requirements
High School degree or equivalent is helpful. Must have the ability to use basic hand tools.
