Position Specific Description
The position provides executive administrative support for NextEra Energy’s Vice President Internal Audit. This role will also support our Internal Audit Department.
A successful candidate will be able to handle multiple priorities while maintaining the highest quality work product and confidentiality. The qualified individual must be detail-oriented and proficient in Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Candidates should have the ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, problem solve, and be solutions oriented.
Executive administrative support responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Accurately maintaining Executive’s calendar working through conflicts as they arise
Playing the lead role in coordinating all aspects of meetings and conference calls (attendees, meeting space, supplies, refreshments, AV support)
Arranging travel & preparing itineraries
Assisting with audit committee planning and preparation (example: draft PowerPoint decks, agendas, deadlines, etc.)
Assisting with drafting the department newsletter
Internal Audit department support responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Event planning and assisting with coordinating and scheduling department strategic initiatives (examples: annual risk planning process, department meetings, Knowledge Cafes, etc.)
Maintaining office and refreshment supplies for the teams in Juno Beach and the LFO
Assisting with Employee onboarding and offboarding administrative tasks
Assisting with AuditBoard administrative tasks (example: entering and closing audits in AuditBoard)
Facilitating audit independence checks
Providing general office and administrative assistance and guidance with a positive attitude

This job provides secretarial and administrative support directly to executives. Employees in this role exercise confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

• Receives, screens and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail and e-mail
• Manages schedules, appointments and calendars
• Arranges business travel, coordinates meeting arrangements and processes expense reports
• Maintains strict confidentiality and effectively and willingly adjusts to changes in priority and direction
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
