The Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Chief Operating Officer / Assistant Director Administration (ADA)

Position Overview:The Assistant Director of Administration/Chief Operating Officer (ADA/COO) acts as a principal assistant to the CEO/Facility Director in the effective administration and financial management of all aspects of the facility. The position will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and collaborate with the CEO and leadership team in the hospital's overall operations, ensuring the effective delivery of services to patients per the facility's mission and regulatory requirements. The position will directly supervise the CCCA onsite Support Services Departments, including Physical Plant Services, Fiscal Services and Environmental Services. It will be directly responsible for CCCA budget development and management of financial transactions. The Chief Operating Officer may serve as the Chief Executive Officer in his/her absence.

About CCCA:Our mission is to provide comprehensive, high-quality, and individualized acute psychiatric and psychosocial inpatient services. We work in partnership with other providers to improve the lives of Virginia's children who need intensive care, as well as their families. Additionally, we are committed to building statewide capacity in behavioral healthcare by offering training opportunities to mental health and human service providers, as well as students, through partnerships with colleges, universities, and community agencies across central and western Virginia. We also collaborate with other mental health and child-serving organizations to offer guidance and expertise in the development of Virginia's mental health system for children and adolescents.

Required Skills and Competencies:- Thorough knowledge of general accounting principles, including hospital and/or governmental accounting practices.- Demonstrated expertise in managing accounting, budgeting, and financial operations.- Strong ability to plan, organize, delegate responsibilities, and supervise staff effectively, with excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.- Proficiency in information technology management.- Ability to collaborate effectively with professionals across similar or diverse areas.- Skilled in both oral and written communication, with the capability to work independently.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related administrative field.- Experience in hospital or governmental accounting.- Prior supervisory experience.

Additional Considerations

- Extensive experience in healthcare, including Joint Commission accreditation, CMS certification, QAPI, and project or systems management.- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred. Master's degree in business, healthcare, public administration, or a related field is also preferred.- Veteran or spouse of a Veteran.- Bilingual in Spanish
