Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Executive Director
to lead our nonprofit organization, providing strategic vision, operational leadership, and a commitment to transparency and accountability. The Executive Director will oversee daily operations, develop strategies to achieve our mission, manage finances, and strengthen relationships with stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners. This is a senior-level role suited for a results-driven leader passionate about making a meaningful impact. The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Planning
Develop and implement strategic plans to fulfill the organization's mission and vision.
Provide leadership and strategic direction for organizational growth and sustainability.
Partner with the Board of Directors to set strategic priorities and ensure alignment with the organization's goals.
Management
Direct management to include:
Financial Director
Construction Director
Development Director
HR Director
ReStore and Volunteer Managers
Chief Administration Staff
Organizational Development
Manage and lead Director-level staff, the development of building and repair programs, initiatives, and services that align with the mission.
Lead efforts in capacity building, including resource allocation, project management, and staff development.
Financial Management and Accountability
Oversee the financial division (CFO) to ensure impeccable organizational allocation and reporting to include budget planning, financial recordkeeping, the annual audit process, and ensuring fiscal accountability.
Implement and ensure transparency and accountability practices to guarantee compliance with nonprofit regulations and standards.
Manage the mortgage process and the construction management methods to support related projects, programs, funding, and services.
Fundraising and Donor Relations
Develop and execute fundraising strategies with the Development Director to secure resources necessary for the organization's growth and long-range planning.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with International Habitat for Humanity, affiliates, donors, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
Oversee public relations initiatives and promote the organization's visibility with fund raising events, social media and website communications, and internally with all staff.
Operations and Compliance
Ensure that operations, policies, and procedures comply with regulatory standards.
Oversee and manage staff, fostering a collaborative and accountable team culture.
Review volunteer programs and provide oversight, training and development opportunities.
Will oversee the operations of the ReStore (retail department of donated materials) to ensure financial accurateness of receiving, sales, and future growth and development as it relates to retail strategies.
Oversee the Repair and Critical Repair projects to include grant regulation, reporting mandates, financial allocation, and expenditures.
Qualifications:
Established Senior-level Executive experience to include management, leadership in strategic planning, and forward-thinking organizational development.
Demonstrated knowledge and adeptness as it relates to non-profit organizational administration.
Verifiable experience in non-profit operational management and construction management.
Established expertise in fiscal management within the non-profit industry to include budgeting, transparency, and accountability measures.
Adeptness in the mortgage process, construction management, and related capacities.
Demonstrated experience in developing fundraising strategies and managing donor relations.
Strong background in managing and leading staff and volunteer management programs, with a focus on mentorship, team building, and organizational development.
Excellent public relations, communication, and people skills.
Proven record of fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
Organizational knowledge of the Habitat for Humanity mission, an understanding of the community demographics and local partnership contact methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits:
$100,000 - $130,000 DOE
