COMPANY CONFIDENTIAL is a dedicated non-profit organization based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and is committed to supporting adults with autism. Our mission is to provide adults with autism high quality services so that they may enjoy the same quality of life as their neuro-typical peers to the best of their abilities; across their lifespan.

Position Summary:

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of the organization. This leadership role involves working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to achieve the organization’s mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

Provide visionary and strategic leadership to the organization.

Ensure the implementation of the organization's programs and services in alignment with its mission, vision, goals and instructional philosophy.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative organizational culture.

Strategic Planning:

Develop and execute long-term strategic plans.

Identify and pursue opportunities for growth and expansion of services to include expanding employment and residential opportunities.

Regularly evaluate and adjust strategies to meet the evolving needs of the organization

Fundraising and Development:

Fundraising activities include but are not limited to grant writing, maintaining existing donor relationships and identifying new donor opportunities and participation in special events.

Create, build and maintain relationships with key donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Ensure financial sustainability through diversified funding streams.

Financial Management:

Oversee the development and management of the organization's budget.

Ensure financial integrity and accountability, including compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Provide regular financial reports to the Board of Directors.

Board Administration and Support:

Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organization.

Assist in the selection and development of Board members.

Provide regular updates on organizational progress and challenges.

Program Development and Oversight:

Ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.

Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements as needed.

Stay informed about current trends and best practices in autism services and advocacy.

Community and Public Relations:

Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization.

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, government officials, and other non-profits.

Promote the organization's mission and programs through public speaking, media engagements, and community events.

Human Resources:

Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of qualified staff.

Ensure a positive and supportive work environment.

Implement effective performance management and professional development programs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in nonprofit management, business administration, social work, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of senior management experience, preferably in the non-profit sector.

Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working with adults with disabilities.

Experience with workforce development in helping adults with disabilities secure paid jobs and volunteer positions in the community preferred.

Demonstrated success in fundraising and development.

Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and financial reporting.

Experience working with a Board of Directors and a diverse group of stakeholders.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Passion for the mission of supporting individuals with autism and their families.

Knowledge of issues and trends related to autism services and advocacy.
