Position Description:

University of Iowa Stead Family Department of Pediatrics seeks an oncologist with special interest in neuro-oncology.Appointment rank is open and may be to either the tenure track or clinical (non-tenure) track consistent with clinical experience and research interest.Appointment rank to Instructor of Pediatrics (non-tenure or clinical track) may also be considered.The individual selected will join the Division of Hematology/Oncology to provide patient care, teaching, and consultative services as a pediatrician specializing in oncology.The Neuro-oncology team practices multidisciplinary management of patients with brain and spine tumors, retinoblastoma, and NF1 and NF2-related schwannomatosis. The scope of practice includes (but is not limited to) the enrollment of patients in multi-institutional clinical research protocols through our collaborations with the Children's Oncology Group (COG), Children's Brain Tumor Network (CBTN), National Experimental Therapeutics Consortium (NEXT), and other industry-sponsored trials.The division is involved in cutting-edge research that is funded by the NIH and nonfederal agencies.The University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A.
