RN Pre-Op PACU

Reports To : Surgical Services Director
FLSA Classification: Full-Time Non-exempt, Hourly $33.50- $50.000
Essential Functions
* Asses, instruct, and prepare patients prior to surgery. * Ensure that operative and informed consents are signed and correct. * Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedures. * Initiate IVs. * Assess patient's post-operative condition. * Monitor Vital Signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteria. * Accurately chart finings and progress in patient chart. * Answer patient questions and ensure patent comfort before and after surgical Procedures. * Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician. * Perform intervention duties as assigned during post-operative emergencies. * Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
* Current, unencumbered Colorado RN license required. * BLS and ACLS certification required thre (3) months of hire or transfer.
