OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Support Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents of APC, BCC, and Dignity Commons during their transportation to and from APC's Service Center. Your primary responsibility will be maintaining a timely schedule by making stops every 30 minutes along the designated route, starting at 3:00 pm. and concluding at 6 p.m. The final resident pick-up will take place at 5:30 p.m., with the last drop-off occurring at 6:00 p.m. at the designated drop-off location.
DUTIESGreet residents in a warm and friendly manner immediately upon interaction.Provide transportation services for residents, including seniors and individuals with disabilities, to APC's Service Center, assisting with loading and unloading as needed.Maintain a log-in sheet for residents, ensuring they sign in before boarding the vehicle.Place and retrieve shuttle stop signs to designate resident stops.Report any mechanical issues or damage to the manager for immediate attention.Thoroughly complete incident reports and adhere to procedures in the event of accidents and emergencies.Maintain fuel and vehicle cleanliness.Ensure familiarity with the vehicle and operate it properly.Adhere strictly to all local and state traffic and driving laws at all times while operating the APC company vehicle.Assist the morning shuttle driver in their absence.Perform any other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Must have at least three years of driving experience, with at least six months specifically operating a passenger vehicle.Possesses a valid driver's license and has had no more than two moving violations within the past three years.Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work independently and as a member of a collaborative services team.Ability to adapt work schedule to meet program and resident needs.Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.Ability to work effectively with all personality types.Ability to drive in all weather conditions and temperatures.
